Vaulted ceilings and the primary structure of the nuns’ rooms and refectory have been preserved and linked together with en suites to create sumptuous bedrooms each with a spellbinding sea view stretching from the Conca dei Marini’s fishing harbor below to Amalfi beyond.

 

A local Neopolitan designer has collaborated with the owner to create an elegant ambiance graced by timeless Italian antiques. Every conceivable lavish amenity and comfort abound. But the focus remains the vistas. From this distinct vantage perch, the dazzling coast and Gulf of Salerno is revealed, framed through windows and balconies facing the sea. Each room still exudes the sense of tranquility where a nun once stayed—a totally private and intimate retreat bathed in the angelic sunlight of the Amalfi Coast.

 

The suites represent an authentic Italian residential experience. Each suite has been individually designed with furniture hand picked by the owner, Bianca, throughout her travels in Italy. One-of-a-kind antiques accent the suites while historical black and white photographs taken before the renovation don the walls evoking the spiritual past. The suites vary in size with each space completely unique—some with elegant living and dining rooms as well as terraces swathed in bougainvillea lingering over the Gulf of Salerno and the enchanting Conca dei Marini fishing village.
